Logistic & Warehouse Manager

Logistics & Distribution Management

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Manage transportation for domestic and interstate dispatches in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Ensure on-time delivery while optimizing freight cost and transit time.

Warehouse & Inventory Coordination

• Coordinate with warehouse team for proper storage, handling, and dispatch of materials and finished products.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed, especially for biotech/pharma products.
• Monitor inventory movement and support periodic stock audits and reconciliation.

Vendor & Transporter Management

• Finalize and manage transporters, courier agencies, and freight forwarders.
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and service levels with logistics vendors.
• Evaluate transporter performance based on delivery timelines, cost, and safety.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable logistics regulations including GST, E-way bills, delivery challans, invoices, and statutory documentation.
• Maintain proper records for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
• Ensure adherence to safety, handling, and temperature-control norms (where applicable).

Coordination with Internal Departments

• Coordinate closely with production, quality control, purchase, sales, and accounts teams.
• Align dispatch schedules with production planning and customer commitments.
• Support returns, replacements, and reverse logistics in coordination with QC and sales.

Cost Control & Process Improvement

• Monitor logistics costs and implement cost-optimization initiatives.
• Prepare MIS reports on dispatches, freight costs, transit times, and exceptions.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements in logistics and distribution systems.

Team Management

• Lead and supervise logistics and dispatch staff.
• Ensure training on SOPs, safety, and compliance.
• Monitor performance and discipline within the logistics team.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of logistics operations in biotech/pharma/manufacturing
• Understanding of GST, E-way bills, and statutory logistics documentation
• Vendor negotiation and contract management skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, and MS Excel
• Problem-solving and planning abilities
• Strong coordination and communication skills

Qualification & Experience (Indicative)

• Experience in logistics/warehouse management (pharma/biotech ) -preferred
