Position Title: Logistics Manager

Location: Dewasnaka Unit, Indore

Department: Operations / Logistics

Reporting To: Unit Head and Operations Head

Job Summary: The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the logistics department, ensuring efficient coordination and utilization of company vehicles and transport resources. The role involves supervising vehicle movements, maintaining records, optimizing routes, and preparing accurate reports. The candidate should be well-versed in computer operations and have hands-on experience in report generation and data management.

• Key Responsibilities:Manage and monitor day-to-day vehicle movements for dispatch, delivery, and internal transportation.
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatch staff, and other departments to ensure timely logistics operations.
• Maintain vehicle utilization logs, fuel records, maintenance schedules, and trip sheets.
• Ensure compliance with transportation safety, statutory, and documentation requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to vehicle status, fuel consumption, and cost analysis.
• Track and optimize transport routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain proper documentation for goods movement (inward/outward).
• Coordinate with external transporters and vendors when required.
• Support the Unit Head and Operations Head in planning and executing logistics-related activities.
• Ensure the upkeep and readiness of all transport assets within the unit.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate in any discipline (preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Management).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing unit.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data management systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team and work effectively under time constraints.
• Knowledge of vehicle management systems, transport documentation, and route optimization.

Preferred Background:

• Candidates with prior experience in manufacturing or FMCG sectors will be preferred.
• Experience in handling logistics operations, vehicle scheduling, and report preparation.
