Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop vending machine components, assemblies, and enclosures using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create detailed 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings for fabrication and assembly, with a strong focus on sheet metal parts.
• Work closely with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable.
• Revise existing designs based on performance feedback, customer input, or manufacturing improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop prototypes and ensure design validation.
• Maintain documentation including BOMs (Bill of Materials), revision histories, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in product design, preferably in sheet metal fabrication or industrial equipment.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal design principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in vending machine or kiosk design.
• Exposure to electrical/mechatronic components in design.
