Sales Officer

Job Summary :We are a leading distributor and retailer of architectural and building hardware products. We are looking for a dynamic and competent Sales Officer to boost sales performance, expand our customer base, and strengthen relationships with existing clients.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining customer accounts, obtaining purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of billed material, and recovering outstanding payments against invoices.

A. Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development
• Identify and develop new sales opportunities in the market.
• Promote architectural and building hardware products to contractors, builders, architects, and retailers.
• Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets.

B. Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and support.
• Expand customer base by onboarding new clients and projects.

C. Order Management

• Obtain purchase orders from customers and ensure accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, invoicing, and dispatch.
• Monitor timely delivery of billed material to customers.

D. Payment Recovery & Account Handling

• Ensure recovery of sales amounts for materials supplied against invoices.
• Follow up with customers for timely payments and outstanding dues.
• Maintain records of collections and report payment status to management.

E. Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Conduct market surveys to understand competitor activities and customer needs.
• Provide regular sales reports, customer feedback, and market insights.
• Suggest strategies for improving sales and increasing market share.

F. Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in promotional campaigns, product launches, and exhibitions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical sales practices.
• Support management in achieving overall business growth objectives.

G. Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in building materials, hardware, or construction-related products.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
• Good knowledge of invoicing, billing, and payment recovery processes.
• Possess 2 wheeler with a valid driving license and willingness to travel in the assigned territory.
