Site Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated Site Engineer to oversee day-to-day site execution for a colony development project. The role involves level checking, labour coordination, vendor management, and ensuring that site activities progress as per drawings, specifications, and timelines.

1. Level Checking & Measurements

• Take ground levels and set out levels as per drawings.
• Provide levels to labour, contractors, and machine operators.
• Cross-verify levels before concreting, foundation, utilities, and road work.
• Ensure correct slope, alignment, and compacted levels at every stage.

2. Site Coordination & Supervision

• Manage daily site activities for civil work (roads, drainage, utilities, plot demarcation, etc.).
• Coordinate with labourers, masons, machine operators, and subcontractors.
• Ensure work is completed as per drawings, quality specifications, and safety guidelines.

3. Staff & Labour Management

• Allocate tasks to workers and supervise their performance.
• Maintain attendance, daily progress, and work productivity.
• Guide workers and resolve on-site execution issues promptly.

4. Vendor & Material Handling

• Coordinate with vendors for timely material supply (cement, aggregates, pipes, bricks, etc.).
• Prepare material requisition and follow up on deliveries.
• Check quality and quantity of materials received at site.
• Maintain proper record of consumption and stock.

5. Quality Control & Documentation

• Maintain daily site reports, measurement sheets, and progress logs.
• Conduct quality checks before and after execution.
• Ensure proper compaction, curing, shuttering, and reinforcement as per standard practice.
• Report issues and progress to Project Manager.

6. Drawings & Execution

• Understand and execute work as per structural and architectural drawings.
• Assist in layout of plots, roads, drainage lines, electrical & water supply network.
• Verify contractor work as per BOQ and specifications.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of civil execution work.
• Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Good communication and labour-handling skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel / mobile apps for reporting.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Experience in township/colony development, road work, or site execution preferred.
