BLASTING

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule blasting activities based on production requirements.
• Prepare and implement blast designs, including drilling patterns and charge calculations.
• Ensure compliance with DGMS (Directorate General of Mines Safety) and other statutory regulations.
• Supervise handling, storage, and transportation of explosives as per safety norms.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for blasting operations.
• Monitor blast performance and optimize fragmentation for cost-effective operations.
• Maintain accurate records of explosives usage and blasting reports.
• Coordinate with drilling teams, mine planners, and safety officers.
• Train and guide blasting crew on safe practices and emergency procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

B.tech in mining/Diploma in mining.

Experience:

4-9 years of experience in mining.

certifications:

First class mines manager certificate.
