Machine Operator

Job SummaryThe Machine Operator is responsible for operating ice cream machines like the Candy Line and Continuous Freezer. He will ensure smooth production, good quality ice cream, basic machine maintenance, and cleanliness as per factory rules.

• Key Responsibilities
• Machine Operation
• Operate Candy Line machines (moulding, stick insertion, chocolate coating, wrapping).
• Operate Continuous Freezer for proper freezing and texture of ice cream.
• Start, stop, and monitor machines during production.
• Set correct temperature, speed, and product settings as per instructions.
• Quality Control
• Check ice cream quality (shape, weight, texture, coating).
• Ensure products meet company quality standards.
• Inform supervisor if any defect or problem is noticed.
• Basic Maintenance
• Do daily cleaning and lubrication of machines.
• Do basic troubleshooting for minor machine issues.
• Inform maintenance team for major breakdowns.
• Handle machines carefully to avoid damage.
• Hygiene & SafetyFollow food safety and hygiene rules at all times.
• Wear proper uniform, gloves, mask, and safety shoes.
• Keep machine area clean and organized.
• Follow safety instructions to avoid accidents.
• Records & Reporting
• Maintain basic production and machine log sheets.
• Report machine performance and breakdowns to supervisor.
• Skills & RequirementsBasic knowledge of ice cream machines preferred.
• Experience in ice cream / food factory is an advantage.
• Ability to understand simple instructions.
• Physically fit for factory work.
• Willing to work in shifts.
• Education & Experience
• Minimum ITI/ Graduate pass (preferred).
• 1–3 years experience in ice cream or dairy food processing factory preferred.
• Freshers can be trained.
