Accountant

An Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. They help organizations maintain financial stability and make informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledgers

Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow reports

Manage accounts payable and receivable

Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies

Ensure compliance with tax laws (GST, TDS, income tax, etc.)

Prepare and file tax returns

Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting

Conduct internal audits and support external audits

Monitor expenses and recommend cost-saving measures

Maintain accurate financial documentation and records

Required Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards

Attention to detail and high accuracy

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Excel)

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and organizational abilities

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com)

Professional certifications (preferred): CA, CMA, CPA

Relevant experience (3–5+ years depending on role level)
