We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our daily financial operations, ensure financial health, and contribute to our continued growth.

The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Accountant to oversee the complete financial lifecycle of our business. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, managing costs unique to the food industry (like ingredients and inventory), and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Record Keeping & Reporting:

• Maintain the general ledger, perform journal entries, and ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
• Conduct bank and account reconciliations regularly.
• Cost & Inventory Management (Crucial to Bakery Operations):
• 
  
• Monitor and analyze cost of goods sold (COGS), including tracking ingredient costs, labor costs, and overhead, to ensure optimal profitability.
• Manage and reconcile inventory records, focusing on raw materials (flour, butter, sugar, etc.) and finished goods.
• Assist in setting standard costs for products and analyzing variances.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• 
  
• Process and manage all invoices, expenses, accounts payable, and vendor relations.
• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of customer payments (e.g., from wholesale clients or catering orders).
• Compliance and Tax:
• 
  
• Manage all payroll processing and related statutory deductions.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national tax regulations (e.g., GST/VAT/Sales Tax) and timely filing of returns.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Budgeting & Financial Analysis:
• 
  
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Perform variance analysis to identify and explain differences between actual results and budget/forecasts.
• Qualifications and SkillsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is a significant advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of professional accounting experience, with experience in the FMCG, Retail, Hospitality, or Food/Bakery industry highly preferred.
• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with modern accounting software Tally.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
