The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for managing sales operations within a defined geographical area. This includes developing and implementing sales strategies, managing a team of sales representatives, achieving sales targets, and ensuring strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets in the assigned area.

Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise sales representatives.

Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers.

Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.

Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to management.

Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.

Organize promotional events, product launches, and roadshows as needed.

Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance standards.

Promote and sell FMCG products to retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business.

Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis.

Monitor and report on sales performance and market trends.

Ensure timely delivery and stock availability at retail points.

Collect and process customer feedback for continuous improvement.

Coordinate with the marketing and logistics teams for promotional campaigns and stock movements.

Maintain records of sales, collections, and inventory

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

Proven experience (1–3 years) in FMCG sales or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of the local market and retail distribution networks.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated and target-oriented with a strong work ethic.

Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
