Assistant Curator

Role Overview:

The Museologist will be responsible for managing, preserving, documenting, and presenting the jewellery collection. The role involves curatorial research, exhibition planning, cataloguing artefacts, and ensuring proper conservation standards for all pieces in the collection.

Key Responsibilities:

Catalogue and maintain records of all jewellery artefacts.

Conduct research on historical, cultural, and material aspects of jewellery.

Plan and curate exhibitions, including display layout and narratives.

Ensure proper handling, conservation, and storage of pieces.

Prepare content for labels, catalogues, guides, and presentations.

Coordinate with designers, conservation experts, and heritage teams.

Conduct tours, workshops, and visitor engagement activities.

Requirements:

Degree in Museology, Art History, Archaeology, or related field.

Knowledge of jewellery history and craftsmanship (preferred).

Strong research, documentation, and communication skills.

Experience in museum curation or heritage collection management.
