We are looking for an experienced Cosmetic Formulation Chemist (2–4 years) who can independently lead product development from concept to commercial scale.

🔬 Key Responsibilities

🧴 Product Development & Formulation• Develop and optimize formulations across categories:

– Cleansers (gel, foam, cream, syndet)

– Toners & essences

– Serums (Vitamin C, Retinol, Niacinamide, AHA/BHA/PHA, Peptides)

– Moisturizers & barrier repair creams

– Sunscreens (SPF 30/50)

– Face masks & specialty treatments

– Body lotions & creams

• Select appropriate emulsifier systems, surfactants, stabilizers & preservative systems

• Design formulations with precise ingredient percentages

• Optimize texture, absorption, viscosity & sensory performance

• Conduct bench trials and prototype development

🧪 Stability, Safety & Testing

• Conduct accelerated & real-time stability studies (40°C / 75% RH)

• Perform pH adjustment, compatibility testing & PET

• Ensure microbial safety and formulation integrity

• Coordinate third-party lab testing where required

• Maintain detailed formulation documentation & technical reports

🏭 Manufacturing & Scale-Up

• Manage pilot batches and commercial scale-up

• Lead technology transfer from R&D to production

• Troubleshoot instability, separation, viscosity shifts & ingredient interactions

• Coordinate with contract manufacturers and raw material vendors

📊 Research & Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with BIS, CDSCO & GMP guidelines

• Research global skincare trends & emerging actives

• Conduct competitive benchmarking

• Optimize formulations for cost-efficiency without compromising quality

🎓 Qualifications

• B.Sc / M.Sc / M.Tech in Cosmetic Science, Cosmetic Technology, Chemistry or related field

OR

• M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) with cosmetic formulation experience

💡 Ideal Candidate Should Have:

✔ 2–4 years hands-on cosmetic formulation experience

✔ Strong understanding of Vitamin C (LAA & derivatives), Retinoids, Niacinamide, Ceramides, Peptides, HA & sunscreen actives

✔ Expertise in emulsions (O/W, W/O), gels & anhydrous systems

✔ Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

✔ Ability to independently lead multiple product development projects
