Job Description
- Core ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service: Greet guests warmly, assist with product selection, and provide detailed information about ingredients and allergens (especially for French specialties like macarons, croissants, and tarts).
- Sales & Upselling: Proactively suggest add-ons (e.g., pairing a pastry with a beverage) and handle custom cake bookings or bulk orders.
- Display Management: Maintain the "Instagram-worthy" look of the bakery by organizing display cases, labeling items clearly, and ensuring all products are fresh and visually appealing.
- Transactions: Efficiently operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle cash and digital payments, and manage billing accurately.
- Hygiene & Maintenance: Ensure the counter area, seating, and display units are kept spotless in accordance with food safety standards.
- Key RequirementsExperience: Typically 1–2+ years in retail or the food & beverage industry (experience in a cafe or bakery is a plus).
- Communication: Fluent in the local language and a basic-to-good command of English to assist diverse customers.
- Education: 12th Pass (Higher Secondary) is the standard requirement.
- Attributes: High energy, a polite and helpful attitude, and the ability to stand for long shifts.
