Responsibilities

• Deliveries: Safely and promptly deliver packages, food, or products to customer locations.
• Route management: Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
• Loading and unloading: Load and unload items from a vehicle, handling them with care to prevent damage.
• Customer service: Interact with customers, answer questions, handle complaints, and ensure satisfaction with the delivery.
• Payments and records: Collect payments from customers when required and maintain accurate records of deliveries and transactions.
• Vehicle maintenance: Keep the delivery vehicle clean and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure it is in good working order.
• Safety and compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Reporting: Report any issues, such as traffic delays, accidents, or package discrepancies, to a supervisor. 

Qualifications and skills

• License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are typically required.
• Navigation: Basic navigation skills and familiarity with local areas are necessary for route planning.
