Fashion Designer Cum Merchant

We are a growing women’s western wear brand with a strong focus on design-led collections, quality fabrics, and contemporary silhouettes. Our work is inspired by global fashion while remaining wearable, commercial, and relevant to today’s woman.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Fashion Designer cum Merchandiser who is passionate about women’s western wear and has a sharp eye for trends, fabrics, prints, and surface design. This role is ideal for a fresher or a candidate with 1–2 years of experience who wants hands-on exposure to both design and merchandising in a fast-paced fashion environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Trend Research: Research international fashion trends, silhouettes, colours, prints, and embellishments
• Track global markets, fashion weeks, brands, and online platforms for inspiration
• Assist in designing women’s western wear collections from concept to sampling
• Develop design boards, mood boards, colour stories, and print directions
• Work with embroideries, placements, surface textures, and fabric selections
• Merchandising & Product Development: Coordinate with sampling units, vendors, and artisans for development
• Assist in fabric sourcing, print development, and embroidery swatches
• Support costing, timelines, and sampling follow-ups
• Ensure designs are commercially viable while maintaining brand aesthetics
• Help in range planning and collection structuring

Requirements & Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Fashion Design from a reputed / renowned design institute

• Strong understanding of women’s western wear categories
• Knowledge of fabrics, prints, embroideries, and garment construction
• Awareness of international fashion trends and market movements
• Basic knowledge of merchandising, sourcing, and production processes
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is preferred
• Good communication and coordination skills

Experience Level: Freshers or candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply
