 preparing and cooking a variety of fast food items in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environment.

Key duties also involve managing ingredient stock, cleaning work areas and equipment, and collaborating with other staff to ensure fast service and high-quality food. 

Food preparation and cooking

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and slicing them, and mix ingredients for items like batters. 

Ensure food is cooked to specific recipes, quality standards, and portion sizes. 

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cooking surfaces and utensils. 
• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage. 
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and take deliveries. 
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order. 
• Collaborate with other kitchen and staff members to ensure orders are completed quickly and efficiently. 
• Work quickly to meet customer demand and handle multiple orders at once. 
• Sometimes assist in training new staff members or mentoring less experienced cooks.
