General OT Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable OT Technician to prepare, maintain, and manage the operating room environment. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure patient safety and the seamless execution of surgical procedures.

• Key Responsibilities

• Preparation: Set up the OT with required surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and medical supplies before each procedure.
• Technical Support: Check, connect, and adjust surgical equipment (monitors, lights, anesthesia machines, and suction units).
• Sterilization: Maintain strict aseptic techniques and manage the sterilization of instruments (using autoclaves/CSSD protocols).
• Intra-operative Assistance: Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, handling emergency supplies, and monitoring equipment during surgery.
• Patient Care: Help transport and position patients on the operating table safely.
• Post-Op & Maintenance: Clean and disinfect the OT after surgery, dispose of biohazardous waste, and restock supplies.
• Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT/B.Sc. OTT).
• Experience: 1-2 of experience in a hospital OT setting.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of surgical terminology, sterilization protocols, and infection control.
• Soft Skills: Ability to remain calm under high pressure, quick reflexes, and excellent teamwork.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and assist in lifting/moving patients.
