Job Description

Job Title: HR Manager/Executive Company: Bitumen Importing and Supply Company We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Manager/Executive to join our team at Bitumen Importing and Supply Company. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of human resources management, from policy formulation and government liaison to recruitment, training, compliance, and employee engagement. The HR Manager/Executive will collaborate closely with top management and lead a team dedicated to creating a positive and productive work environment for our organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Team Management: Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure efficient and effective HR operations. Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement within the HR department. 2. Policy and Procedure Development: Collaborate with top management to develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with organizational goals and comply with regulatory requirements. Ensure that HR practices support a positive work culture and employee well-being. 3. Documentation and Record Keeping: Oversee the maintenance of HR records, including employee documentation, insurance, and other administrative paperwork. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. 4. Interdepartmental Communication: Facilitate effective communication and coordination among different departments within the organization. Implement and streamline basic back-office procedures to promote seamless interdepartmental communication and collaboration. 5. Employee Motivation and Engagement: Implement initiatives and activities aimed at motivating and engaging employees, fostering a positive work environment, and enhancing overall team morale. Develop and execute employee recognition programs, events, and communication activities to promote a culture of appreciation and empowerment. 6. Government Liaison and Compliance: Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and other related regulations. Keep abreast of legal updates and changes, and ensure that the organization is in adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. 7. Payroll and Benefits Administration: Oversee the management of employee payroll, benefits, and mandatory compliances such as Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), paid leave (PL), casual leave (CL), and other related mandatory provisions. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing and benefits administration. 8. Staff Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop training programs tailored to employees’ roles and responsibilities. Coordinate and conduct training sessions on various topics, including safety, first aid, fire safety, and other relevant areas, while maintaining comprehensive records of training activities. 9. Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates. Conduct background checks, prepare employment agreements, and facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new hires. 10. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Training Modules: Create and maintain comprehensive SOPs and training modules to ensure standardization and consistency in operational processes and staff performance. Regularly review and update SOPs and training materials to reflect best practices and evolving business needs. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is desirable. - Proven experience in HR management, preferably in the import and supply industry or a related field. - Sound knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and government compliance requirements. - Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing HR team. - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively collaborate across departments. - Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and other HR-related software for document management, payroll processing, and compliance tracking. - Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and training programs. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. - Proactive and forward-thinking approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
