Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Sr. AOSP Developer to join our team at Briskcovey Technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in modifying and customizing Android operating systems (AOSP) and be proficient in low-level system development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modify and build Android operating systems (AOSP) from source to suit specific requirements.
• Work on Linux Kernel Development: Customizing drivers, optimizing performance, and modifying low-level system behavior.
• Integrate new hardware and modify system interfaces in HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) and Firmware.
• Customize the System UI & Framework: Including modifying the launcher, settings, notifications, and system apps.
• Configure Device Trees & Build System (using Android.mk, Soong, etc.) for system images across different devices.
• Implement custom Security & Permissions, including SELinux changes, custom security policies, and rooting restrictions.
• Work on Flashing & OTA Updates: Create flashable images, recovery partitions, and OTA updates.

Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience with Android Open Source Project (AOSP), modifying and building Android from source.
• Strong knowledge of Linux Kernel Development and experience customizing drivers.
• Hands-on experience with HAL & Firmware integration.
• Expertise in System UI & Framework Modifications.
• Familiarity with Device Tree configurations and Android Build System (Android.mk, Soong, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Security & Permissions in Android.
• Experience creating Flashing & OTA Updates.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with a team.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
