Job Purpose: Lead - Project Construction is responsible for the on-site management and supervision of construction projects. The role ensures that construction activities adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while complying with safety regulations. The Lead collaborates with internal teams and external contractors to guarantee the successful completion of projects and addresses operational challenges to ensure smooth project execution.
Execution of Project management plans:
Implement and execute the Project Management Plan (PMP) on-site, ensuring that construction activities align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Supervise contractors, vendors, and site teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and airport operational requirements. Track project progress, report deviations, and proactively address issues to prevent cost overruns and delays.
Site Supervision and Daily Operations:
Manage daily construction site activities, ensuring that all work progresses according to the project plan and schedule.
Oversee the coordination between contractors, engineers, and site teams to resolve any on-site challenges efficiently.
Construction Quality Management:
Implement quality control measures on-site to ensure that construction techniques and materials meet industry standards and project specifications.
Regularly inspect completed work to verify compliance with design requirements, ensuring that any defects or issues are rectified promptly.
Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor construction activities to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, minimizing risks and hazards on the construction site.
Ensure compliance with local and international construction regulations, including obtaining necessary permits and inspections at key project milestones.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth communication throughout the project.
Provide regular project status updates to senior management and key stakeholders, addressing any issues or adjustments as necessary.
Resource Allocation and Material Management:
Plan and track the procurement, delivery, and usage of construction materials, tools, and equipment to ensure availability and avoid project delays.
Collaborate with the procurement team and contractors to manage material inventories and maintain an accurate record of usage and needs.
Project Reporting and Progress Tracking:
Prepare detailed progress reports, including updates on work completed, budgetary tracking, and any potential risks or delays, for the Head of Section and relevant stakeholders.
Utilize construction management software to maintain up-to-date records of project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Team Management and Leadership:
Lead and mentor the construction management team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development.
Delegate responsibilities and communicate project expectations clearly, ensuring that team members are aligned with project goals and deadlines.

Education Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Additional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification are preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the airport, commercial, or infrastructure sectors.
Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.
