Paper Plant Head

Key responsibilities

• Operational Management: Oversee daily plant operations, including production planning, resource allocation, and logistics.
• Production: Implement strategies to improve productivity and meet production, quality, and delivery targets.
• Financial Management: Manage the plant budget, control costs, and conduct performance analyses and cost management initiatives.
• Quality Control: Maintain and enforce high-quality control standards and processes.
• Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance of production machinery and utilities. This can also include managing spare parts inventory and maintenance contracts.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including those from government bodies like the Pollution Control Board.
• Leadership and HR: Recruit, manage, and develop the plant staff, evaluate performance, and foster a positive work environment.
• Liaison and Reporting: Liaise with external government departments and prepare reports for senior management. 

Qualifications and skills

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred.
• Significant experience in a senior management role within a manufacturing or paper plant environment is essential.
• Expertise in production management, planning, and budgeting is required.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations is necessary.
