- Core Procurement Skills (EPCC Focus)1. Technical UnderstandingAbility to read and interpret enBOQs, and specifications
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, materials, and standards (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation)
- Familiarity with vendor documentation and compliance requirements
- 2. Vendor ManagementVendor identification, evaluation, and onboarding
- Developing and maintaining long-term supplier relationships
- Performance tracking (quality, delivery timelines, cost efficiency)
- 3. Strategic SourcingSourcing suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery
- RFQ (Request for Quotation), RFP, and tendering process handling
- Global sourcing exposure (imports, customs, logistics)
- 4. Negotiation SkillsPrice negotiation and cost optimization
- Contract terms negotiation (payment terms, delivery schedules, penalties)
- Risk mitigation during negotiations
- 5. Contract ManagementDrafting and reviewing purchase orders and contracts
- Understanding legal terms (LD clauses, warranties, indemnities)
- Managing contract lifecycle and compliance
- 6. Supply Chain & Logistics KnowledgeCoordination with logistics for timely delivery
- Understanding of INCOTERMS (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.)
- Inventory planning and material tracking
- Aligning procurement activities with project timelines
- Coordination with engineering, planning, and site teams
- Expediting critical materials to avoid project delays
- 7. Cost Control & BudgetingBudget tracking and cost analysis
- Value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
- Handling variation orders and claims
- 8. ERP & Digital ToolsExperience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle
- Procurement software and MS Excel (advanced level)
- Data analysis and reporting
- 9. Compliance & DocumentationEnsuring compliance with company policies and industry standards
- Managing documentation (POs, invoices, inspection reports)
- Audit readiness and record keeping
- Soft Skills (Very Important)Strong communication and coordination
