Job Description

JOB ROLE: Purpose of the RoleThe Store Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, ensuring visual merchandising excellence, delivering exceptional customer experience, and leading a high-performance sales team. The role acts as the single point of accountability for store performance, brand image, and operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Management Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Drive conversion, average bill value (ABV), UPT, and product mix.
  • Actively participate on the floor during peak hours to close high-value sales.
  • Ensure strong follow-up, lead management, and repeat customer conversion.
  • Monitor daily sales vs. targets and take immediate corrective actions.

2. Visual Merchandising (VM) & Brand Standards Ensure the store VM is 100% as per brand guidelines at all times.

  • Plan and execute window displays, mannequin styling, and floor layouts.
  • Maintain freshness of displays—no old, faded, or overexposed merchandise.
  • Ensure correct product adjacencies to maximize cross-selling.
  • Conduct weekly VM audits and corrective actions.

3. Customer Experience & Satisfaction Personally handle VIP, bridal, groom, and bulk customers.

  • Ensure every customer receives professional styling and consultation.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure zero negative feedback.
  • Build a customer database for repeat sales, weddings, and referrals.
  • Monitor Google reviews, feedback, and NPS scores.

4. Team Leadership & Performance: Train and coach the team on:

  • Product knowledge
  • Styling and selling techniques
  • Closing and upselling
  • Conduct daily morning briefings and evening performance reviews.
  • Monitor individual performance and ensure accountability for targets.
  • Create a high-energy, disciplined, and motivated sales floor culture.

5. Stock & Inventory Control Ensure the right stock availability for core and fast-moving categories.

  • Track slow movers, dead stock, and gaps and coordinate with HO.
  • Prevent loss, damage, and misplacement of merchandise.
  • Ensure defective tailoring and returns are handled timely.

6. Operational Excellence Ensure the store is opened, closed, and maintained as per SOP.

  • Control discounting, billing accuracy, and cash handling.
  • Ensure all reports, sales trackers, and audits are updated.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, grooming, and store discipline.
