Job Description

FixPapa is seeking skilled and experienced IT Hardware Engineers at L1, L2, and L3 levels to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for a variety of hardware components, including laptops, desktops, printers, CCTV systems, servers, chipsets, and networking solutions (LAN/WAN). If you have a deep understanding of hardware systems and a passion for delivering exceptional service, we want you on our team!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues in laptops, desktops, printers, servers, chipsets, and CCTV systems.
  • Repair or replace faulty hardware components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and system health checks to avoid hardware failure.
  1. Installation and Configuration

  • Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and application software on IT hardware.
  • Set up and maintain CCTV systems, printers, and networking solutions, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Manage firewall installations, networking devices, and system security updates.
  1. Networking Solutions

  • Support LAN/WAN troubleshooting and network hardware configuration, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Manage network cabling, connectivity, and IP addressing for corporate and home users.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure seamless connectivity.
  1. Service and Support

  • Provide L1, L2, and L3 technical support to clients for on-site and remote troubleshooting.
  • Assist clients with technical queries, including setting up IT systems and resolving network issues.
  • Collaborate with other teams to provide comprehensive IT support to meet client needs.
  1. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, including issue tracking and resolution timelines.
  • Create detailed reports for hardware performance, repairs, and replacements.
  • Document best practices for hardware installations and troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience:

  • L1: 1-3 years in IT hardware support or related field.
  • L2: 3-5 years of experience with in-depth knowledge of hardware systems.
  • L3: 5+ years of experience in senior roles, capable of managing complex hardware and networking issues.
  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Expertise in laptop, desktop, printer, server, and CCTV hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, network cabling, and firewall configurations.
  • Proficiency in OS installation (Windows, Linux), firmware updates, and system optimizations.
  • Certifications (preferred but not required):

  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSE, or relevant hardware certifications.
  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
