Job SummaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Waiter/Steward to be the welcoming face of La Saveur. This role is essential for ensuring smooth front-of-house operations, maintaining a beautiful café environment, and providing quick, helpful service that encourages repeat business.

• Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Salesmanship (A Key Focus)Exceptional Welcomes: Warmly greet all customers, guide them through the bakery/café space, and make them feel at home.
• Menu Expertise: Master the menu, including the ingredients and preparation of our cakes, pastries (like the popular Blackforest and Truffle Pastries), and savory items.
• Active Selling: Expertly recommend and upsell new or complementary products (e.g., suggesting a specialty coffee with a fresh croissant) to enhance the guest's experience.
• Accurate Order Taking: Take and input dine-in and takeout orders accurately using the POS system and handle all payment transactions efficiently.
• Service & Support: Deliver food and beverages promptly, monitor tables, and promptly address any customer queries or needs.
• Café & Operational MaintenanceDisplay Perfection: Assist the Baker/Display team with setting up and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the bakery cases, ensuring all products are correctly labeled and look fresh.
• Cleanliness Champion: Efficiently clear, sanitize, and reset tables immediately after use.
• Stewarding Duties: Assist in basic back-of-house tasks, including dishwashing, stock replenishment (of napkins, cutlery, and condiments), and ensuring the service areas are fully prepared for peak hours.
• General Hygiene: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the dining area, restrooms, and service counters, in line with food safety regulations.
• Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Proven experience (1+ year preferred) as a Waiter, Server, or Steward in a café, bakery, or fine-casual dining environment.
• Location Preference: Must be comfortable commuting to our Malviya Nagar location in Jaipur.
• Communication: Excellent Hindi and/or English verbal communication skills; a polite and professional phone manner is a plus.
• Stamina: Capable of standing, walking, and being highly active throughout a full shift, including working early mornings and on weekends.
• Attitude: A proactive, helpful, and positive team player with a passion for quality food service.
