Computer Operator

Job Summary

The Data Operator – CCTV Camera Monitoring is responsible for observing, recording, and managing surveillance camera data to ensure safety, security, and accurate reporting.

The role involves continuous monitoring of CCTV footage, maintaining data records, and reporting any unusual or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities or supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor live CCTV camera feeds to ensure safety and security of premises

•

Record and log incidents, activities, and observations accurately

•

Review recorded footage when required

•

Maintain and update surveillance data and reports

•

Ensure proper storage and handling of CCTV data

•

Report suspicious activities or security breaches immediately

•

Coordinate with supervisors when incidents occur

•

Follow data protection, privacy, and confidentiality policies

•

Perform basic system checks to ensure cameras and recording systems are functioning properly

Required Skills and Qualifications

•

Basic computer and data entry skills

•

Ability to observe details carefully and stay alert

•

Good communication and reporting skills

•

Knowledge of CCTV systems (preferred but not mandatory)

•

Ability to work shifts, including nights or weekends

•

Understanding of confidentiality and data protection rules

Educational Requirements

High school certificate or equivalent

•

Basic training in computer operations or CCTV monitoring (an advantage)
