**Role Overview:**

The Maintenance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of all machinery and equipment within our hand tool manufacturing facility. This position requires a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of maintenance strategies, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to lead a team towards achieving optimal equipment performance and safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Maintenance Oversight:**

  - Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for all production machinery, including forging machines, CNC machines, heat treatment equipment, surface finishing systems, and assembly lines.

  - Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

2. **Team Leadership:**

  - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  - Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the technical skills and safety awareness of the maintenance team.

3. **Equipment Reliability:**

  - Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying potential issues before they lead to downtime.

  - Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimize production interruptions.

4. **Maintenance Scheduling:**

  - Develop and oversee maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruption to production operations.

  - Coordinate with production and engineering teams to plan and execute maintenance activities efficiently.

5. **Data Analysis and Reporting:**

  - Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance metrics.

  - Analyze equipment data to identify trends, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance cost-efficiency across the plant.

6. **Budget Management:**

  - Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

  - Evaluate and recommend the purchase of new tools and equipment necessary for maintenance operations.

**Qualifications:**

1. **Education and Experience:**

  - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.

  - A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the hand tools industry.

2. **Technical Expertise:**

  - Extensive knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

  - Hands-on experience with a variety of machinery, including forging machines, CNC machines, heat treatment equipment, and surface finishing systems.

3. **Leadership Skills:**

  - Proven ability to lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals.

  - Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure.

4. **Technical Skills:**

  - Proficiency in using CMMS and other maintenance management software.
