Job Description

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and budget forecasts to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations, and provide insights for management decision-making. 2
  • General Ledger and Account Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and other financial records to ensure accurate reporting. 2
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare documentation for auditors, and ensure adherence to GAAP and federal, state, and local regulations. 2
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accountants, delegate tasks, and review their work for accuracy and compliance. 2
  • Financial Strategy and Cost Management: Advise management on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and financial planning strategies. 2
  • Cash Flow and Budgeting: Monitor cash and investment balances, perform cash flow forecasting, and assist in developing and monitoring departmental and organizational budgets. 2
  • Software and Systems Management: Implement and train staff on accounting software to streamline processes and improve financial data accessibility. 2

  • Required Skills and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification often preferred. 2
  • Experience: Several years of professional accounting experience, preferably with exposure to full-cycle accounting and industry-specific knowledge (e.g., construction, corporate finance),. 2
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems), Excel, and financial reporting tools. 2
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify discrepancies, analyze complex financial data, and propose effective solutions. 2
