Assistant Manager - QA/QC (Electrical)

• Responsible for Site QAQC activities and reporting to QAQC Segment. 
• Understand thoroughly scope of work assigned to subcontractors.
• Collect and study the project drawings, FQAP, applicable checklist, SOP/ technical specification thoroughly. 
• List out the site tests, testing equipment and laboratories that will be used. Inform the same to customer for approval before conducting tests.  
• Jointly with execution team, Identify the trades such as earthing, cable jointing, laying, welding, HT / LT terminations, Junction Box installations, Battery / Battery Charger installations, Pre-commissioning checks etc. and check the competence and knowledge to execute the work correctly. 
• Conduct training for both supervisors and workmen on work methodology, sequence, tests and other requirements as per project by coordination with site team.    
• Jointly with storekeeper, check all incoming materials to ensure it is approved make/ brand, right material, no damage, stored as per manufacturer recommendation. Verify and maintain inspection records including MTC /other applicable records as applicable. Send samples for testing to approved lab with Client witness as applicable. 
• Conduct Random process inspection of all Electrical activities as per FQP
• Perform inspections as per approved FQP upon receipt of inspection call (RFI) from execution team. 
• Verify checklist prepared by execution team / sub-contractors in-line with the requirements mentioned in the FQP.
• Raise Inspection call (Oral/Written) to customer for joint inspection and coordinate with client for stage / final inspections and get inspection cleared.
• Prepare joint inspection checklists and sign off with customer. Maintain records in traceable way at L&T site office. 
• 100% verification / witness of cable laying process, Glanding, termination, cable dressing and DC testing as per SOPs & FQP and provide objective evidence video, photographs & geo tag. 
• Verify module mounting on Floaters & interconnections, erection of electrical accessories like WMS, UPS, Fire Alarm Systems etc.   
• Perform pre-commissioning checks for inverters, HT / LT Panels, transformers, buchholz relays, breather, bushings, radiators etc.    
• Inspection and testing of all other activities also to be conducted as per FQAP and inspection records shall be maintained. 
• Register all quality deviations / Incidents in Sanyog App and coordinate with CM/PM for closure within stipulated time. 
• Escalate deviations, observations on site activities on regular basis to respective site engineers and Block In-charge. 
• Ensure all measuring instruments calibration within due date and maintain respective records.
