Job Summary

The Cashier / Receptionist is responsible for handling billing transactions accurately while also attending to customers at the reception counter. This role requires basic computer skills, good communication, and a polite, customer-friendly attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Cashier Duties

• Generate bills using POS / billing software

• Handle cash, UPI, debit/credit card, and other digital payments

• Ensure accurate billing, discounts, and GST entries

• Maintain daily cash balance and prepare end-of-day reports

• Handle returns, exchanges, and refund procedures as per store policy

• Coordinate with sales staff for smooth checkout operations

Reception / Front Desk Duties

• Greet customers warmly and guide them to relevant sections

• Answer basic customer queries about products, offers, and store policies

• Handle incoming phone calls and customer inquiries

• Manage appointment registers (if tailoring or bulk orders are available)

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 12th pass (Commerce preferred)

• Basic knowledge of billing software / POS systems

• Ability to handle cash and digital payments accurately

• Good communication skills (local language + basic English)

• Polite, presentable, and customer-focused personality

• Basic computer knowledge (billing, Excel is an advantage)

• 0–2 years experience in retail, garments, supermarket, or showroom

• Freshers can be considered if well-trained
