Job Purpose: The Lead - Projects Transmission Line (Site)-Tx is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of high-voltage (765/400 kV) transmission line projects, meeting productivity targets within specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role is responsible for driving efficient site operations through effective team management, proactive planning, and quality control, while upholding stringent safety protocols to achieve a zero-harm work environment. The Projects TL Lead (Site) works closely with contractors, vendors, and local authorities to resolve challenges, maintain regulatory compliance, and optimize project costs, ultimately ensuring each project’s seamless transition to completion within organizational standards.
Lead - Projects Transmission Line (Site)-Tx
Project Management:
Drive successful project execution by handling a team of engineers effectively, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards as per approved Field Quality Plans (FQP) and IS Codes/CBIP manuals.
Oversee planning and scheduling to meet commissioning targets by conducting regular project review meetings, identifying critical paths, and implementing resolutions to avoid delays.
Generate and manage MIS reports by consistently tracking progress and providing regular updates to meet management reporting requirements.
Identify and address potential bottlenecks early in the project lifecycle by applying proactive solutions to maintain seamless project flow.
Process vendor bills efficiently by maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely approvals, thus supporting uninterrupted project progress.
Compliance Management:
Ensure complete adherence to statutory requirements and organizational safety protocols by implementing safety programs and conducting periodic quality checks at the site level.
Safeguard the project from potential compliance risks by ensuring all site activities meet regulatory standards to avoid penalties and maintain a safe work environment for all site personnel.
Conduct regular safety and quality training programs at the site to promote ongoing development within the project team.
Liaison and Stakeholder Management:
Strengthen communication and collaboration with vendors and contractors by conducting regular project meetings, identifying critical issues, and minimizing additional costs.
Coordinate with local authorities for timely execution of shutdowns, crossings, and other critical project activities, maintaining compliance with regulations and securing required permissions.
Foster effective interdepartmental relationships by engaging with all relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration and successful delivery.
Financial Management:
Monitor project expenses closely by tracking budgets, managing resource allocation, and controlling cash flow to ensure adherence to financial targets.
Maintain cost-efficiency by overseeing budget allocations, minimizing additional costs, and regularly reviewing project costs against the approved budget.
Risk Management:
Ensure project safety and compliance by implementing rigorous safety protocols and conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Minimize project disruptions by proactively identifying risks during project planning, allowing for timely intervention and resolution to maintain project timelines.
Technology Integration and Innovation:
Enhance operational efficiency by integrating advanced project management software and tools, enabling real-time tracking of project progress and resource allocation.
Drive innovation in project execution by researching and applying the latest technologies, resulting in improved project outcomes and cost-effectiveness.
Team Management:
Provide assistance to the engineering team by setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and enabling the team to achieve productivity and operational targets.
Identify and fulfil training needs for team members by facilitating continuous learning programs and professional development opportunities to build technical and leadership skills.

Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech. in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Work Experience (Range of years):
12-15 years of experience in transmission line execution, with a strong focus on high-voltage projects.
Expertise in Right of Way (ROW) resolution.
Proven experience in liaising with government authorities to secure regulatory and statutory approvals, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
In-depth knowledge of relevant standards, including IS5613 and the CBIP Manual, as well as strong familiarity with industry regulations and compliance protocols.
