Job Description
Role Summary:
The Packing Associate is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing medicines as per invoices while maintaining proper stock arrangement, hygiene, and safety standards in the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
1. Picking & Verification
- Pick the correct medicines from the racks strictly as per the invoice.
- Select bills as per the series and process urgent bills with first priority.
- Ensure items of temporary buckets are correctly transferred into the main bucket.
- Always ensure that items of a particular bill remain in the same bucket as per the assigned bucket number.
- In case of additional/overflow buckets, ensure both buckets are properly aligned before sending to the stock-check department.
- Check batch number, quantity, and expiry date before picking (follow FEFO/FIFO).
- Check boxes thoroughly before throwing them away to ensure no strips or medicines are left inside.
2. Rack & Bucket Maintenance
- Maintain proper arrangement of buckets as per group, place, and sub-group categories.
- Keep the assigned rack clean, organized, and ensure no wrong item/batch is placed.
- Ensure the table and railing of the group are in proper condition and maintain cleanliness on a daily basis.
3. Stock & Material Handling
- Handle medicines carefully to avoid damage, spillage, or loss.
- Avoid unnecessary modifications. If any modification is required, ensure correct batch, MRP, and quantity are updated.
- Inform the supervisor immediately about low stock, near-expiry stock, or empty boxes.
- Do not throw empty boxes on the floor; dispose of them properly or hand them to the packing department as required.
4. Coordination & Process Discipline
- Ensure subgroup items are not already picked by another picker before picking again.
- Ensure no wrong item or wrong batch is passed to the next department.
- Assist in daily and weekly stock checking whenever required.
- Strictly avoid late coming, unnecessary leaves, and half-day absences to maintain workflow discipline.

Job Description: Racking Associate –
Role Summary:
The Racking Associate is responsible for arranging, organizing, and maintaining incoming medicines in the warehouse according to company standards, FIFO/FEFO rules, and proper documentation. Accuracy, cleanliness, and stock discipline are key requirements of this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Verification Before Racking
- Properly check the pack size, MRP, power, quantity, and rack number before racking any item.
- Ensure no item is racked without checking expiry, batch number, or labeling.
- Arrange the items on the floor properly before starting the racking process.
2. Racking & Stock Arrangement
- Arrange incoming medicines strictly following FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry First Out).
- Maintain proper labeling on racks and shelves to ensure easy identification.
- Ensure medicines are stored safely as per company norms and guidelines.
- Do not rack any item without the proper green tape (if applicable).
- Be extra careful while racking fragile items.
- Be cautious with items that do not have a rack number or belong to new company stock.
3. Stock Sheet & Documentation
- Maintain the stock sheet with proper cleanliness, clarity, and orderliness.
- Be extra careful about item quantities mentioned in the stock sheet.
- Do not rack any company extra stock or unknown stock without informing the leader and mentioning it in the stock sheet.
- Mention any stock-related issue (quantity mismatch, batch issue, item name error, expiry issue, old/new stock) clearly on the stock sheet.
4. Coordination & Reporting
- If racking is completed but some items remain on the floor, inform the team leader immediately.
- Separate and report damaged, expired, or near-expiry medicines to the stock team.
- Inform the stock team about shortages, excess stock, or discrepancies.
- In case of any dispute regarding new stock, coordinate directly with the stock-check or company department.
5. Cleanliness & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and discipline in all racks and storage areas.
- Check boxes thoroughly before throwing them away to ensure no strip is left inside.
- Keep racks well-organized and maintain proper stock levels.
6. Ledger Understanding
- Have a clear understanding of ledger entries related to:
- Sales return
- Self-breakage
- Sold items
- New stock & entry dates
Required Skills
- Good understanding of FIFO/FEFO.
- Basic stock-handling and documentation knowledge.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
