Job Description

Role Summary

The HR Manager is responsible for managing the complete employee lifecycle — from hiring to exit. This role ensures the company has the right people, strong processes, disciplined systems, and a positive work culture aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Manpower PlanningPlan and execute hiring as per department requirements

  • Prepare and update Job Descriptions (JDs)
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage selections
  • Manage offer letters, joining formalities, and onboarding

2. Onboarding & Training

  • Conduct employee induction programs
  • Coordinate product, process, and policy training
  • Maintain training calendars and records

3. Attendance, Leave & Payroll CoordinationManage attendance systems (manual / biometric / online)

  • Implement leave policies and maintain records
  • Share payroll inputs, incentives, and deductions with Accounts
  • Coordinate statutory benefits if applicable (PF, ESIC, etc.)

4. Performance Management

  • Define KPIs and targets for each role
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly performance reviews
  • Prepare improvement plans for low performers
  • Recommend rewards, incentives, and recognition for top performers

5. HR Policies & DisciplineDraft and implement HR policies and SOPs

  • Ensure workplace discipline, punctuality, and professional behavior
  • Handle warning letters, show-cause notices, and terminations
  • Resolve employee grievances and conflicts

6. Employee Engagement & RetentionPlan employee engagement and motivation activities

  • Monitor attrition and conduct exit interviews
  • Improve internal communication and team morale

7. Compliance & DocumentationMaintain employee files and HR documentation

  • Ensure basic labor law compliance
  • Prepare HR data for audits and inspections

8. HR Reporting & Management SupportPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly HR reports

  • Track manpower cost, hiring status, and attrition
  • Share HR insights and improvement recommendations with management
