Service Engineer

Job SummaryThe Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for construction machinery and heavy equipment. The role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and provides excellent customer support at job sites or workshops.

• Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance & RepairPerform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on construction machinery (excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, compressors, etc.).
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and software.
• Conduct overhauls of engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and other major components.
• Install, calibrate, and test machine parts and attachments.
• 2. Technical SupportProvide on-site troubleshooting and emergency breakdown service.
• Assist customers with technical queries related to machine operation, maintenance schedules, and performance issues.
• Recommend parts replacement, upgrades, and service solutions.
• 3. Documentation & ReportingPrepare detailed service reports, job cards, and inspection records.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, parts used, and machine status.
• Communicate findings to service supervisors, managers, and customers.
• 4. Customer InteractionEducate customers on safe machine operation and preventive maintenance.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and timely service delivery.
• Provide feedback from customers to improve product quality and service processes.
• 5. Safety & ComplianceFollow safety guidelines, company policies, and OEM service standards.
• Ensure proper use of tools, PPE, and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at job sites and workshop.
