Role OverviewThe Admission Counsellor will be stationed at the BK Birla School location and will serve as the primary interface between parents, students, and RAO IIT MEDICAL. The role focuses on counselling, lead conversion, school-based outreach, and admission closures for academic programs across boards and competitive exams.
- Key Responsibilities1. Student & Parent CounsellingConduct in-person and telephonic counselling sessions at the BK Birla School location.
- Assess student academic background, board (CBSE / ICSE / IB / IGCSE / State Board), and competitive goals (JEE / NEET / Olympiads).
- Recommend suitable RAO IIT MEDICAL programs (one-to-one, small batch, online/offline).
- 2. Lead Handling & ConversionManage walk-in enquiries from the school ecosystem and nearby residential catchment.
- Follow up on leads generated through school references, calls, and marketing activities.
- Maintain detailed counselling records and lead status in CRM / Excel.
- 3. School & Data CallingCall school enquiry data and parent databases to generate new leads.
- Build rapport with parents connected to BK Birla School and surrounding schools.
- Clearly communicate RAO IIT MEDICAL’s academic outcomes, faculty strength, and personalised coaching model.
- 4. Admission Closure & Fee CoordinationExplain course structures, duration, fees, and payment schedules transparently.
- Close admissions and coordinate with accounts for fee confirmation and receipts.
- Ensure accurate documentation and onboarding of enrolled students.
- 5. Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with academic and operations teams for demo classes and faculty allocation.
- Share daily counselling activity, follow-ups, and weekly admission reports.
- Provide feedback on parent objections, pricing sensitivity, and local competition.
- Desired Candidate ProfileQualificationGraduate / Postgraduate (any discipline; education or management preferred).
- Experience1–5 years in admissions counselling, education sales, or academic consulting.
- Experience in coaching institutes or school-linked programs preferred.
- SkillsStrong communication and persuasion skills.
- Comfortable interacting with parents in a school environment.
- Target-oriented, disciplined, and ethical approach to sales.
- Working knowledge of Excel, CRM tools, and WhatsApp/email communication.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Number of counselling sessions conducted at the BK Birla School location.
- Monthly admissions and revenue achieved.
- Lead-to-admission conversion ratio.
- Follow-up discipline and turnaround time.
