ETP / STP Design & Component Procurement Officer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and technically sound Design and Component Procurement Officer to lead the design, engineering coordination, and equipment sourcing for Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) and Sewage Treatment Plants (STP).

The role involves preparing detailed design layouts, BOQs/BOMs, vendor coordination, and ensuring timely procurement of technically compliant equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Engineering

Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) and basic design layouts for ETP/STP systems

Support preparation of GA drawings, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing

Assist in selection of appropriate treatment technologies (MBR, MBBR, SBR, ASP, etc.)

Coordinate with consultants, civil teams, and execution teams for design finalization

2. Bill of Materials & Technical Documentation

Prepare BOQ/BOM for complete ETP/STP projects

Draft technical specifications for equipment and packages

Review vendor technical submissions and ensure compliance with design intent

3. Procurement & Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for key equipment such as:

Blowers

Pumps

Diffusers

Screens

Filter vessels

Membranes

MCC panels & instrumentation

Float RFQs, perform techno-commercial comparisons, and negotiate pricing

Coordinate with vendors for drawings, data sheets, and delivery schedules

4. Project & Site Coordination

Support project teams during execution for design clarifications

Assist in resolving technical issues during installation and commissioning

Coordinate for FAT/inspection when required

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Diploma / BE / BTech in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering

Experience:

3–7 years experience in ETP/STP design and/or procurement

Experience with EPC companies or water treatment solution providers preferred

Technical Skills Required

Strong understanding of ETP/STP processes and equipment

Ability to prepare BOQs, layouts, and technical documentation

Vendor evaluation and procurement exposure

Knowledge of pollution control norms (CPCB / SPCB) is an advantage

AutoCAD understanding required

Good communication with vendors and internal teams

Cost-conscious and technically sound decision-making

Ability to handle multiple vendors and deadlines
