Indian Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Cook to prepare authentic Indian cuisine, ensuring high quality, taste, and presentation. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian spices, regional dishes, and traditional cooking techniques while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes (North Indian, South Indian, or regional specialties as required)

Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of food

Plan menus and assist with daily food preparation

Handle spices, ingredients, and raw materials properly

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety standards

Monitor food stock and inform management of shortages

Reduce food waste and manage portion control

Follow kitchen safety procedures and company policies

Work efficiently during peak hours

Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience as an Indian Cook or similar role

In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, and cooking methods

Ability to prepare vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good time management and organizational skills

Physically fit and able to work long hours if required

Preferred Skills

Experience in tandoor, curry, and dosa/chapati preparation (if applicable)

Menu planning and cost control knowledge

Ability to adapt recipes to customer preferences
