CCTV Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV footage and review recordings to detect unusual or suspicious activities.
• Ensure proper functioning of CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, and related equipment.
• Maintain daily logs, incident reports, and shift handover documentation.
• Promptly report security breaches, safety hazards, or policy violations to supervisors.
• Assist security teams during incidents, investigations, or emergencies.
• Preserve CCTV footage and evidence as per company procedures or legal requirements.
• Coordinate with IT/technical teams for troubleshooting system issues.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of surveillance data at all times.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Support audits or inspections related to security systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, and basic security operations
• Ability to identify suspicious behavior and critical incidents
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, report preparation)
• Strong observation, attention to detail, and alertness
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Calm under pressure with sound judgment and ethical conduct
