Accountant

Job Title: Accountant – Civil Construction Company

Location: Noyyal Kurrukkusalai

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial activities of our civil construction company. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and project cost management specific to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle daily accounting operations including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.

Maintain accurate records of project expenses, material purchases, vendor payments, and client billing.

Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns on time.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collections and vendor payments.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for expense tracking and budget control.

Assist in audits, bank reconciliations, and maintaining proper documentation for compliance.

Monitor petty cash, payroll, and project-related financial transactions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a civil construction or infrastructure company.

Proficiency in Tally ERP / MS Excel / accounting software.

Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Must be comfortable working from the office (Noyyal Kurrukkusalai location)
