About Art Tree CaféArt Tree Café is a well-established vegetarian café and highway property in Himachal Pradesh. Our guests include families, young travellers, and health-conscious customers. We are known for good food, warm service, and a peaceful vibe.

We are now looking for a high-integrity, hands-on Chef-cum-Operations Manager who can take full ownership of daily operations and help us grow steadily.

Role OverviewThis is a leadership role for someone who can cook, lead, manage, and run the café independently. The owner is not present daily, so we need a person who is responsible, disciplined, and capable of running the kitchen and operations smoothly.

Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Leadership

• Ensure consistent quality, taste, hygiene, and presentation
• Handle key cooking + supervise kitchen team
• Maintain portion control, prep planning, and kitchen discipline
• Implement food safety and cleanliness standards

Café Operations

• Manage daily opening/closing and smooth service flow
• Ensure fast and professional customer service
• Coordinate between kitchen + service staff
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues calmly

Inventory + Cost Control

• Maintain stock control for raw material, packaging, beverages
• Vendor ordering and purchase planning
• Reduce wastage and ensure food-cost discipline
• Maintain basic consumption and inventory records

Team Management

• Staff attendance, scheduling, training, and discipline
• Maintain work culture, punctuality, and accountability
• Lead by example with calm, respectful leadership

Reporting

• Daily reporting via WhatsApp (sales, stock, issues, requirements)
• Weekly summary (inventory, wastage, staff performance)
• What We’re Looking ForStrong cooking and kitchen handling experience
• Prior experience as Chef / Kitchen In-charge / Restaurant Supervisor / Café Manager
• Honest, stable, long-term mindset
• Strong leadership and ability to manage independently
• Comfortable working in Himachal and a highway environment
• Basic smartphone skills (WhatsApp, photos, voice notes)
