Technician

Job Objective

To install, replace, and maintain smart meters at assigned locations while ensuring

safety, accuracy, and compliance with project standards and company SOPs.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Install and commission smart meters at customer sites as per project guidelines

2. Conduct on-site testing and troubleshooting of meter connectivity

3. Ensure proper wiring, sealing, and installation safety compliance

4. Capture installation data through mobile application/handheld device

5. Maintain daily installation reports and submit work status updates

6. Coordinate with supervisors for job allocation and escalation of issues

7. Handle customer queries professionally during field visits

8. Ensure zero damage to customer property during installation

9. Follow EHS and electrical safety protocols at all times

10.Meet assigned installation targets and timelines

11.Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets responsibly

Desired Skills

1. Basic electrical and wiring knowledge

2. Use of handheld/mobile reporting tools

3. Achievement of daily/monthly installation targets

4. Accuracy in reporting and data submission

5. Compliance with safety standards

6. Professional behavior at customer locations

7. Attendance and discipline as per company policy

8. Driving License and Bike mandatory – Bike expenses will be reimbursed as per

company policy. Without a valid driving license and personal bike, candidates

will not be considered for hiring.

Qualification and Experience requirements

• Fresher/ Exp. ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Wireman or related field (preferred)

• Or 12th

, Minimum 1–2 years field experience (metering/electrical preferred)

• Field-based role

• Outdoor work in various weather conditions

• Travel within assigned project area

Statutory bonus will be paid extra as applicable. They will be TeamLease rolls.
