Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate electrical commissioning and completions activities on-site.

  • Review and interpret electrical design documents, drawings, and specifications to develop commissioning procedures and schedules.

  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, procedures, and documentation (ITRs, check sheets, punch lists, etc.).

  • Ensure the safe energization and commissioning of all electrical equipment (e.g., switchgear, transformers, MCCs, generators, UPS systems, lighting, earthing).

  • Oversee and coordinate loop checks, insulation resistance testing, functional testing, and system energization.

  • Interface with construction, QA/QC, engineering, and client teams to ensure alignment and readiness for commissioning milestones.

  • Manage system walkdowns, punch list clearing, and handover processes using completion management systems.

  • Ensure compliance with site HSE procedures and promote a strong safety culture during commissioning.

  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

  • Provide progress reporting and updates to the Commissioning Manager and project leadership.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning activities in collaboration with vendors, OEMs, and construction teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline.

  • Experienced in electrical commissioning and completions on major construction/industrial projects (oil & gas, power, mining, infrastructure, etc.).

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and commissioning practices.

  • Experience with completions management systems (CMS) and electronic documentation tools.

  • Strong understanding of industry standards.

  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret technical documents and manage multi-discipline interfaces.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced site environment with tight deadlines.
