Role SummaryThe Fitter – Fabrication is responsible for assembly, fitting, alignment, and structural fabrication of mechanical systems and heavy-duty equipment as per engineering drawings and quality standards. The role requires hands-on experience in structural fabrication, reading technical drawings, and ensuring dimensional accuracy.

This is a critical shop-floor role that directly impacts product quality, delivery timelines, and customer satisfaction.

• Key Responsibilities1. Fabrication & AssemblyPerform fitting and assembly of fabricated components as per GA and fabrication drawings.
• Align structures, sub-assemblies, and moving parts.
• Carry out tack welding coordination and structural positioning.
• Assist in erection of fabricated structures.
• 2. Drawing InterpretationRead and understand 2D engineering drawings.
• Follow tolerances and dimensional requirements.
• Coordinate with design and production teams for clarifications.
• 3. Mechanical FittingInstallation of shafts, bearings, bushes, pins, brackets, and structural frames.
• Ensure proper alignment and leveling.
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier caliper, measuring tape, spirit level, dial gauge.
• 4. Quality & SafetyEnsure fabrication quality meets internal QC standards.
• Follow shop-floor safety procedures.
• Avoid rework through precision and discipline.
• 5. Productivity & DisciplineComplete assigned jobs within planned timelines.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness (5S).
• Avoid shortcuts and ensure structured reporting to supervisor.
• QualificationsITI in Fitter / Fabrication / Mechanical Trade preferred.
• Minimum 3–8 years of fabrication experience (heavy equipment preferred).
• Experience in structural fabrication for lifting equipment, trucks, or industrial machinery is an advantage.
• Skills RequiredStrong understanding of fabrication processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings independently.
• Knowledge of alignment and assembly techniques.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics installation (preferred).
• Team player with disciplined work ethic.
• Working Conditions6 days a week (3rd Saturday holiday).
• 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Bus facility from Navi Mumbai to Khalapur.
• Accommodation allowance may be provided if relocating.
