• Fabric & Material Handling
• Work with automotive-grade fabrics: leatherette, PU, PVC, polyester blends, and heavy-duty denim-like textiles.
• Ensure correct grain alignment and shrinkage control during cutting and stitching.
• Cutting Operations
• Execute straight cuts, bias cuts, and panel cuts using industrial cutters and band knives.
• Follow die-cutting templates for precision seat cover panels.
• Maintain seam allowances as per design specifications (commonly 8–10 mm for seat covers).
• Stitching Operations
• Operate electronic/electricity-based industrial sewing machines (Juki, Brother, Singer, Pfaff).
• Apply well-known stitch types:
• Lockstitch – for durability in seams.
• Overlock/Serge stitch – for edge finishing and preventing fraying.
• Topstitch – for decorative and reinforcement lines on seat covers.
• Double-needle stitch – for parallel reinforcement on stress points.
• Zigzag stitch – for flexibility in curved panels.
• French seam / Flat-felled seam – for strength and neat finish on visible areas.
• Execute welt stitching for seat cover piping and decorative trims.
• Handle hidden seam stitching for concealed joins in seat covers.
• Assembly & Finishing
• Join panels with precision, ensuring symmetry and tension balance.
• Attach zippers, Velcro, or hook-and-loop fasteners as per design.
• Perform edge binding and piping insertion for aesthetic and durability.
• Conduct final inspection for stitch density (8–10 stitches per inch standard in automotive covers).

Tools & Machines

• Electronic/Electricity-based sewing machines (single-needle, double-needle, overlock, bar-tack).
• Cutting machines – band knife, straight knife, die-cut press.
• Special attachments – piping foot, zipper foot, walking foot for heavy fabrics.
• Heat press machines – for embossing logos or patterns on seat covers.

Skill Requirements

• Expertise in industrial tailoring techniques with emphasis on car seat cover production.
• Ability to read and follow seat cover patterns and templates.
• Skilled in handling heavy fabrics (denim, canvas, leatherette).
• Knowledge of thread types (polyester, nylon, bonded threads) suitable for automotive use.
• Precision in maintaining stitch length, seam strength, and aesthetic finish.
• Experience in quality checks for seam slippage, puckering, and durability.

Experience

• Minimum 1–5 years in industrial tailoring, preferably in:
• Car seat cover manufacturing companies, Two Wheeler Seat Covers, Bags manufacturing, Hood manufacturers, Shoe Manufacturers, Rexine or similar material.
• Heavy fabric industries (denim, jeans, canvas, upholstery).

Proven ability to work in industrial production lines with high output and strict quality standards. Working Environment

• Industrial set-up with assembly line production.
• Collaboration with pattern masters, quality inspectors, and production supervisors.
• Adherence to safety protocols while operating electronic machines and cutters.
• Focus on efficiency, precision, and durability in every stitch.

Selection and Wages will depend on Stitching Skills on Electrical Machines in an Automotive industry INTO CAR INTERIORS. EXPERT AND SKILL Tailors required immediately. 300 positions at Chakan and Apart from Chakan Pune, Multiple Openings at Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Belts.
