Job Title: Research Assistant – Mechanical (3D Scanning & Vehicle Teardown)

Department: HTC-EDS_Bentchmarking

Location: ARAI,Chakan,Pune

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)

Experience:1–3 years of experience in vehicle teardown, inspection, or related activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 3D scanning of vehicle components and assemblies using appropriate tools and software.Conduct vehicle inspection and teardown activities as per project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) during and after vehicle teardown.Document and analyze component-level details and observations.
• Assist in data collection, reporting, and technical documentation.Support engineers in project execution and testing activities.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of tools, equipment, and scanned data.
• .Required Skills:Basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components
• Familiarity with 3D scanning tools and inspection techniques
• Ability to prepare Bill of Materials (BOM)Good analytical and documentation skillsHands-on approach for teardown and assembly activities
• Preferred:Experience in automotive testing / teardown projectsExposure to CAD tools or 3D data handling.
