Production EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Production Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering to oversee and coordinate production activities. The role involves allocating and monitoring jobs across fabrication and machining teams, while ensuring timely availability of materials at designated work locations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong organizational and communication skills to drive efficiency and quality in production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Job Allocation & Monitoring

• Assign daily tasks to fabrication and machining teams based on production schedules.
• Monitor progress of assigned jobs, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Resolve bottlenecks and escalate issues to management when required.

Material Planning & Availability

• Plan and coordinate material requirements for ongoing and upcoming jobs.
• Ensure materials are available at the right location and time to avoid production delays.
• Liaise with procurement and stores teams to track inventory and replenish supplies.

Production Coordination

• Collaborate with design, quality, and maintenance teams to align production activities.
• Maintain accurate records of job status, material usage, and production output.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and reduce waste.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all production activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety and efficiency within the production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in production engineering, preferably in fabrication and machining environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material planning, and workflow management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and production tracking tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
