Job Description
- Job Title: Quality Inspector – Aluminum Die CastingKey Responsibilities:Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of aluminum die-cast components such as housings, brackets, covers, and structural parts used in automotive and engineering applications.
- Use precision measuring instruments including Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, and Surface Plate to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect surface finish, porosity, flash, shrinkage, and other casting defects in accordance with engineering drawings, control plans, and customer specifications.
- Record all inspection results accurately in check sheets, ERP, or SAP systems, ensuring traceability and compliance with documentation standards.
- Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming materials, and communicate findings to Production, Quality, and Tooling departments for necessary action.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and participate in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes for quality issues related to casting defects, machining variations, or dimensional deviations.
- Verify and ensure calibration status, cleanliness, and proper handling of all inspection instruments and gauges.
- Coordinate with foundry, machining, and maintenance teams to ensure continuous improvement in casting quality and process control.
- Education:Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering
- Experience:Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in Quality Inspection within an Aluminum Die Casting / Automotive / Engineering Manufacturing environment.
