Deputy Manager - Warehouse Operations

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Key Resposibilities:

Warehouse Management System:

  • Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Coordinate with 3PL team for required resources to ensure smooth operations in Inbound & Outbound
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, handling, storing, and dispatching spare parts.
  • Monitor and manage warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders, from receipt to dispatch.
  • Ensure timely execution of all VOR/FFR orders by taking multiple order allocation runs during the day
  • Ensure availability of LR details /Gate pass details for all invoices in system
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders (Sourcing, DP, Packaging, Logistics, Admin & Safety) & ensure alignment of warehouse activities with business needs.
  • Preparation for MRM data
  • Coordinate with packaging team for timely availability of packaging material & other consumables to avoid delays in order execution
  • Coordinate with DP team for availability of schedules & OP run allocations
  • Coordinate with Sourcing & Logistics teams for availability of material to increase the FS%
  • Coordinate with other WH ops team for timely execution of STO’s for material availability to increase the FS%
  • Coordinate with Bazaar sales team for DB orders allocations and resolutions for customer blocks.
  • Active participation to increase the O2D
  • Daily clearance of parts from RODK for timely execution of orders

Inventory Control:

  • Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems to track stock levels, turnover rates, and order accuracy.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle count to ensure data accuracy for spare parts and packaging material / consumables
  • Identify and manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory to optimize stock levels.
  • Strong knowledge of PI Process & Inventory variance posting

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among warehouse staff.

  Overall

  • Driving internal process efficiencies and defining SLAs to be guaranteed to stakeholders
  • Fostering an organizational culture to promote continuous improvement & 5S culture

Critical Experience

  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable with MS Office – Excel, Access, Word,    PowerPoint, Power Bi
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Preferred to have knowledge of SAP modules – MM and SD
  • Driving cost optimization & Network optimization initiatives to achieve organization goals to achieve best in class customer experience & cost target.
