Job Description
Programming: Develop 2D/3D CNC programs for 3, 4, or 5-axis machines, optimizing for speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Setup and Operation: Set up VMC machines, including installing tools, fixtures, and establishing work offsets.
• Technical Interpretation: Analyze complex blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Tool Selection: Determine appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for materials like aluminium, steel, and composites.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision tools (micrometres, callipers) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Software Proficiency: Experience with CAM software such as Delcam PowerMill, Mastercam, SolidCAM, or Fusion 360.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of G-code/M-code and Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controllers.
• Education/Experience: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing, with minimum 3Y experience in CNC/VMC programming.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting and optimizing production.
