Job Summary:

The Loading Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling, accuracy, safety, and timely dispatch of materials as per company standards. The role requires close coordination with drivers, loaders, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Key Responsibilities:Supervise and monitor the loading and unloading of trucks/trailers as per the dispatch schedule.
• Ensure goods are loaded safely and efficiently without damage or shortage.
• Verify material quantity and quality against loading slips or challans.
• Coordinate with warehouse and transport teams for timely dispatch and delivery.
• Maintain loading/unloading records, gate pass entries, and dispatch documentation.
• Ensure proper stacking and weight distribution during loading for vehicle safety.
• Monitor labor performance and allocate tasks to loaders and helpers.
• Check vehicle fitness, sealing, and lashing of loads before departure.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures.
• Report any material discrepancies, damages, or delays to the operations manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the loading area.
• Skills and Competencies:Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Good communication and coordination ability.
• Knowledge of loading techniques and material handling.
• Understanding of vehicle capacity and load management.
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, dispatch software preferred).
• Attention to detail and time management.
